Railscenics offers custom photo backdrops for model railroaders. These are backdrops using images of prototype landscapes, trains, yards, cityscapes, and structures to produce stunningly realistic panoramas and help create the illusion that your layout extends far beyond its actual, physical borders. Backdrops are printed with archival ink on durable, photo-quality, 27#, Premium Matte, Graytex paper. Most backdrops can be resized to accommodate scales from O to Z. We offer both stock backdrops and custom compositions. If you choose to create your own custom backdrop, contact us and we’ll be happy to work with you to put together a unique and ideal backdrop for your layout. Choose from our growing library of images or send us your own photos of the scenes, equipment, and structures you would like to include in your backdrop. (Images must be on slides or digital TIFF files on CD, minimum 360 dpi after scaling to printable size.) We also offer location photography to modelers interested in producing backdrops of specific locations. (Terms and conditions are the same as for photographing layouts.)
